Yahoo! deal to extend reach of Rivals.com, critiqued by Steve Remillard. Issue 47 Volume 8 pg. 8

Rivals.com and Yahoo have reached a two-year deal, so that Rivals.com can provide around 70 content items per day to Yahoo! Sports. Rivals.com focus is towards college sports, they have in-depth news on college recruiting. Prior to their deal with Yahoo!, they reached at deal with AOL where Rivals.com will provide 100 intems per week to AOL. With this new approach on advertisement Rivals.com intent is increase their number of visitors to almost 4 million by the end of the year. In the month of February, Yahoo! Sports is second to only ESPN.com when it came to the number of visitors with 13.9 million. What Rivals.com has done, is get their name out there to the public. Those who follow College Sports and College recuriting know the website Rivals.com, this will help them attract more people to their website. College Football recuriting has become a big deal over the past couple of years, ESPNU actually has a whole day that deals nothing about where high school football players are going to be playing college football at.
